Lisbon, Algarve & Madeira - Day by day Itinerary
Day 1 : USA-Lisbon:
Depart the US on your overnight flight to Lisbon, the capital of the Algarve. Relax and enjoy dinner, movie, and breakfast onboard.
Day 2: Arrive Lisbon
Arrival transfer from airport to your hotel in Lisbon. Day at leisure to relax and begin exploring the Portuguese capital. Overnight at 4-star centrally located Mundial Hotel.
Day 3 Lisbon:
After breakfast at your hotel we'll take you to the included city tour of Lisbon visiting the quaint Alfama, the former Moorish quarters with its narrow and twisting streets, cobblestone alleys, and small whitewashed houses. We will drive to the historical Belem district, where you will see the Tower of Belem, Monument to the Discoverers, and the unique Manueline architecture of Jeronimos Monastery. Rest of the day at leisure. Overnight at your centrally located hotel in Lisbon.
Day 4: Lisbon:
Enjoy the capital city of Lisbon and its shopping, parks, restaurants, and museums.
Day 5 : Lisbon- Algarve:
Short flight to Faro, Algarve and transfer to your hotel, the 4-star Vila Gale Marina Hotel in the town of Quarteira. Buffet Breakfast is included daily. Free time today to begin exploring this beautiful region.
Days 6-8: Algarve: The Algarve is the southernmost region of Portugal. Enjoy the beauty of this dramatic and scenic stretch of Portuguese coast. Many shops, restaurants and cafes are located near your hotel. A Full Sightseeing tour of Silves, Monchique, Lagos, and Sagres is included: Historical Algarve – Silves, Monchique, Lagos & Sagres
SILVES- Visit the Moorish Castle (entrance fee not included) and XIII century Cathedral. MONCHIQUE – Typical village located in scenic range of rounded hill, you will have free time shopping for handicrafts. LAGOS, a town linked to the Portuguese Discoveries. Guided visit of the Antonine Museum within the Golden Chapel of St. Anthony (entrance fee not included), the slave market and statue of Prince Henry the Navigator. SAGRES- Visit of the village, fishing harbour and Cape St. Vincent. Return to your hotel.
Day 9: Algarve-Madeira:
Today's flight will take you to the beautiful Portuguese island of Madeira. You'll be met upon arrival and transferred to your 4-star air-conditioned beachfront Baia Azul. Rest of the day at leisure.
Days 10-12: Madeira:
Days to enjoy the scenery and flowers, good food and wine of Madeira Island. Sea view accommodations and buffet breakfast at your hotel.
A sightseeing tour of Funchal is included: Visit the Market with its display of tropical fruits, flowers, fish and vegetables. A visit to the Embroidery Factory. Then on to Monte, where you will see a wonderful selection of flora. A superb view of Funchal, and a good opportunity to use the Toboggan.(optional) Return to Funchal and visit a Wine Lodge
Day 13: Madeira-USA:
After breakfast, transfer to the airport for your return flight home via Lisbon, arriving later today.
