Day 1 (Thursday) USA-Barcelona:
Depart the US for your overnight flight to Barcelona. Relax and enjoy dinner and a movie onboard.
Day 2 (Friday) Arrive Barcelona:
Arrival in Barcelona and check-in to your hotel. Free time to begin your explorations of this beautiful city.
Days 3 & 4 (Saturday-Sunday) Barcelona:
Enjoy the cosmopolitan city of Barcelona well-known for its dramatic architecture, gothic quarter, shopping, parks and museums. A half-day classic sightseeing tour of the city is included. Tour Description: Barcelona is one of the most beautiful and vibrant cities of Spain and this classic tour gives you a quick overview of its main highlights. Explore Via Laietana, the Cathedral and its cloister, Gothic Quarter, Plaça Sant Jaume (Generalitat and Town Hall). You will continue on to the Villa Olímpica (athletes residential complex during the Olympics) and the Port Olímpic (Olympic harbor), which you will tour on foot. Afterwards you will ascend Montjuïc Mountain, which offers a panoramic view of the city and harbor. Tour the Olympic Stadium, Palau Sant Jordi and Calatrava Tower. Visit the Poble Espanyol (Spanish Village) which reproduces the most typical regional architectural styles in Spain. Here you will also be able to taste Catalan Cava, the renowned local sparkling wine.
Day 5 (Monday) Barcelona-Madrid:
Depart Barcelona for Madrid and check in to your centrally-located hotel. Rest of the day at leisure to begin exploring the Spanish capital.
Days 6 & 7 (Tuesday to Wednesday) Madrid:
Enjoy the capital city of Madrid and enjoy its shopping, parks, restaurants and museums. A half-day sightseeing tour of the city including the Royal Palace is included.
Day 8 (Thursday) Madrid-Malaga (Costa del Sol):
A 45 minute flight will take you south to Malaga where you'll be met and transferred to your beachfront air-conditioned hotel. Rest of the day at leisure.
Days 9 & 10 (Friday & Saturday) Costa del Sol:
Days at leisure. Our local hostess will indicate time and day for your full day sighteering tour of Gibraltar, including a visit to the Rock.
Day 11 (Sunday) Malaga-USA:
After breakfast, you'll be transferred to Malaga airport to board your flight back to the US, arriving home later the same day.
Barcelona:
