Overnight transatlantic flight to Budapest. Dinner, movie, and breakfast on board.
DAY 2 BUDAPEST, HUNGARY
Üdvözöljük–welcome! Time to relax or to begin exploring the “Paris of the East.” Your Local Host provides you with a Destination Guide, full of useful city information, and is on hand to help you create lasting memories.
DAY 3 BUDAPEST
Morning guided sightseeing and orientation including Matthias Coronation Church and impressive HEROES’ SQUARE. Drive up to Fishermen’s Bastion for magnificent panoramas of Buda and Pest on either side of the Danube River. (Breakfast)
DAY 4 BUDAPEST
Full day to enjoy the capital of Hungary at your own pace. (Breakfast)
DAY 5 BUDAPEST–VIENNA, AUSTRIA
This morning, journey by high-speed TRAIN to Vienna (first-class); early- afternoon arrival at your hotel. (Breakfast)
DAY 6 VIENNA
Morning guided sightseeing and orientation includes a visit to SCHÖNBRUNN PALACE, former residence of the Habsburg Dynasty. Also see Prater Park with the giant Ferris wheel and famous monuments along the Ringstrasse, such as the Fine Arts and Natural History Museums, Heldenplatz with Hofburg Palace, and the National Theater. DAY 7 VIENNA
Full day at leisure to explore the capital of Austria. (Breakfast)
DAY 8 VIENNA–PRAGUE, CZECH REPUBLIC
Travel by high-speed TRAIN (first-class) this morning to Prague; late-afternoon arrival at your hotel. (Breakfast)
DAY 9 PRAGUE
Morning guided sightseeing and orientation includes views of 1,000-year-old Hradcany Castle and a walk in the CASTLE COURTYARDS. See the STAROMESTSKE SQUARE, dating back to the 12th century with its historic buildings, beautiful churches, and the Astronomical Clock on the Old Town Hall Tower. (Breakfast)
DAY 10 PRAGUE
Full day at leisure to enjoy the “Golden City.” (Breakfast)
DAY 11 PRAGUE - USA
After breakfast, transfer to Prague airport for your return flight home, arriving later today.
